Abdullah advises and represents employers, developers, engineers, contractors, and government entities in a range of contentious and non-contentious matters across the Middle East. He is well known for his knowledge of the Saudi legal landscape.

He has been practicing law since 2013 between London, Saudi Arabia, and Dubai. He teaches International Construction Law and International Economic Law.

Abdullah’s previous experience as a Construction Engineer has proven invaluable in advising and negotiating technical matters on behalf of clients.


    • Successfully represented a client in regulating the largest ethical, Sharia-compliant FinTech fund at the size of GBP 1 billion. The fund was the first dual-listed fund between Saudi Arabia and Jersey, UK.
    • Represented Straits Fund I and II, which are dedicated to investing in Sharia-compliant targets.
    • Assisted well-known private equity houses in their Islamic fund terms as Alinma Invest, Al Bilad Capital, and NCB Capital.
    • Represented Industrial groups in their asset-backed finance agreements.
    • Assisted Nassej Real Estate company in Bahrain in regulating a Musharakah Mutanaqisah transaction.
    • Closing the largest in-Kingdom VC fund SAR 500M (Nana).
    • Represented Bechtel Inc in SAR 133M litigation in Saudi Arabia.
    • Represented a contractor in more than SAR 1 B project finance agreement in NEOM.
    • Represented EPC contractors in Saudi Aramco projects – Murjan, Jaforah, and others.
    • Represented a PIF company in commercial arbitrations
    • Represented a number of oil-field service companies in Litigation as Baker Hughes and others.
    • Successfully won and represented many real estate developers in SAR 1.4 B claims against the Ministry of Housing.
    • Represented three contractors in international arbitrations for a construction EPC project in a LCIA arbitration.
    • Represented a local contractor in partnership conflicts amounting to 62 cases that involved criminal, general, and commercial matters.
    • Represented shareholders in a lawsuit against a major consulting company in the US.
    • Represented China Harbor LTD in local litigation and arbitration matters.
    • Represented Power China and SPECO in forming its venture in Saudi Arabia and signing with Saudi Aramco.
    • Represented a PIF company in a major land dispute before the General court in Riyadh.
    • Represented many contractors and subcontractors in Covid-19-related disputes before tribunal and local courts.
    • Represented a child in advocacy for a negligence claim in Portsmouth, UK.
    • Represented and Advised many contractors in the treatment of the pandemic in Saudi Arabia and abroad.
    • Acted in an asset-tracing and bankruptcy matter that involved high-profile members in Saudi Arabia.
    • Advised a London-based bank in mortgage (Islamic) for citizens in the UK.
    • Represented a Saudi family in a number of real estate lawsuits on off in London.
    • Represented a subcontractor in a Carbon Dioxide Capture project against Samsung in Paris and London.
